[ CHALLENGE ]

University of Phoenix is an online university for working adults. Being an online university it became difficult for peer to peer communication as the students never interacted with each other in real classrooms. This was observed in 2017 which is Pre-COVID 19 as that changed the behaviour towards online education/work a lot.

[ OBSERVATION ]

Facebook page of University of Phoenix has over 1.7 Million student followers. Being an online university most of their communication is led through their facebook page. Facebook is also the most used social media platform between the students as they age between 30-45yrs. 

[ SOLUTION ]

Using the Facebook Event feature, we created monthly digital study session events. Students joined these events and interacted with each other through comments, likes, shares etc. on the event page. For every month we created a theme to surprise the students and keep the content latest and exciting. Through Study Sessions we were able to build a sense of community among these students.
